It was really worth the time that it took us to get there... the kids didn't want to see the rest of the museum (moozm as Garett likes to spell it!). They just wanted to keep going back to the dinosaur rooms...
Under protest Garett took this photo... he thought we were really goofy in wanting him to make a face like he was running away from the dinosaur!
This is Emalee next to the upper leg bone of an Apatosaurus... why did they ever change the name from Brontosaurus? It is hard enough to keep dinosaur names straight, but then they go and change the name from how you learned it as a kid... what name will it have in another few decades? It really is amazing to think that no one knew that dinosaurs had ever existed until the big finds started being found less than 200 years ago. It is hard to think of a world before the existence of dinosaurs... (both in the ancient and relatively recent past - but I digress)... what did kids play without a T-Rex to come and ruin the whole town?
