June Recap

June was a busy month for us. It started with finishing some projects, travelling, a farewell party, then we travelled some more, finally we were home and had home repairs to do along with some fun to finish off the month. Enjoy the pictures!

A baby quilt for a new baby.
I also made a memory quilt for our friends who moved.
Four families worked on creating the blocks for this quilt. Here is a close-up of some of our blocks. In the middle, you can see the fox fabric. Under that is E's design... she colored a flamingo and a rainbow heart. G drew the picture next to that, with two soccer teams playing on a field. Above that is our "family" square which has a rainbow, a rainbow heart, a water drop, a red bud tree, and a bunch of numbers floating around. The kids drew the rainbows and hearts first and then I had to fill in the blank spots!

I was really happy with how pretty it turned out.

Then to give it to our friends, we had a big (dare I say hoedown?) party. Well, it was big in the fact that we all had fun, and with the whole families involved, there were 22 of us there!

After the party, it was on to our travelling...

We picked up a hitchhiker on the way!

One of the reasons that I went on this trip was to see GA receive his award!

The downtown Pittsburgh area was really into advertising it's eco-friendliness. One of the things in our room to save on the hotel electricity, was that to activate the air conditioning and the lights, we had to stick our room key into the outlet. It also helped us not lose our room key in the room!

We returned home from our travels only to find we needed to repair the washing machine agitator and the umbrella. The agitator part was only $10 and surprisingly easy to replace. I was kinda hoping for a new machine though! :) The hardest part of fixing the machine was that we had to stop in the big city an hour away to get the part!

We also had to restring the umbrella and add some extra...

Guess it was a week for fixing long tubular items! :)

We also had some time for dinosaur digging, new golf clubs, and water sprinkler playing!
