Kids In Mission
And one last project... During the summer our church does a 3 day learning and mission project specifically for and by kids. This year the focus was weather, need, and thanks. Day 1: our kids baked cookies and learned about how people affected by the May tornadoes were still in need. Day 2: we received a hand-picked list of 8 specific kids in need in Moore, OK that were returning to school soon. Our awesome mission kids (1st-5th graders with a few older helpers) went shopping at Old Navy to purchase a new school outfit for each child on our list. Day 3: a trip down to the city to deliver the outfits and then a tour of a local news station (where we delivered the cookies) to tell them how much we appreciate their work keeping us safe, especially on bad weather days.

Neat mission project! So, back to coaching again?? Six older kids seems more doable than 10 three year olds! :) Love their crazy socks. Is that the new trend?
