Granna and Grandpa visit

Granna and Grandpa were here visiting for the past week. We had tons of fun but it was just too bad that we were so horribly hot. For example, right now it is 7:30 pm and still 105 degrees. ICK! They are glad to go back home simply for the reason that they can cool off!!!

Granna brought and made us all some new clothes... THANK YOU GRANNA from all of us. Here is one of Emalee's new dresses.

We went to one of the local minor league baseball games. Had a really good time. We were sitting about 10 rows up from the field behind the dugout... great view but a few foul balls that were a little too close for comfort. To keep the kids in the ball park all 9 innings we were glad that there was a playground out behind center field where we could still see the game. We also had one of the neatest treats - dipping dots! If you haven't tried them, they are really neat!!! Basically small round ice cream dots - Garey says they were BB sized - and as they warmed up, they all melted together into an ice cream heap... tasted great though!


Then later in the week we went to a park that actually had a teeter-totter... I haven't seen but one or two in the last 5 years that we've been going to parks.


After the park we were off to the pool. The big breakthrough was that Garett started swimming! Swim lessons paid off! He was swimming fairly comfortably between me and grandpa about 10 feet apart without any sort of floatation aid. Good job Garett!!
